Hunger Games is back !
This November 15th event is obviously The Hunger Games: The Rime of the Serpent and the Songbird. Nearly ten years after the last Hunger Games film, the universe returns with a prequel focusing on young Coriolanus Snow, long before he became the tyrannical president of Panem. So this time he has the right role, and the film intends to reveal what made him such a cold and ruthless character.

He then has at his side Lucy Gray Baird, who came from District 12 (Katniss’ homeland) to participate in the games. If you liked the first films Hunger Gamesthis one should be right up your alley, even if it doesn’t reach its predecessors, the Rime of the Serpent and the Songbird contributes to enriching the myth (see our review).
From drama to fantasy
In addition to this American blockbuster, we recommend the independent drama How to have sex. Awarded the Un certain Regard Award at Cannes, the film follows a group of high school students who plan to make the most of their vacation. Alcoholic evenings in a Mediterranean-style resort are on the agenda spring breakers. But as in this one, not everything is all joy, especially for Tara, who, after disappearing for an entire night, reappears upset by what happened to her.
Still in Cannes films, Blue little girl was part of this year’s official selection, while Vincent must die was presented at Critics’ Week in a special screening. Two very different films. The first, worn by Marion Cotillard, allows director Mona Achache to “resurrect” her mother, who committed suicide in 2016 without leaving a note, but leaving boxes of letters and photos for her daughter.
The first is a fantastic thriller in which Karim Leklou suddenly becomes attacked by strangers. A very mysterious and intriguing tone that allows the actor to once again show his qualities, just like Vimala Pons who accompanies him.
Kim Jee-woon’s early films re-released
Finally, while the latest film by Kim Jee-woon, They’re filming in Seoul! Spiderweb, came out last week, three of his previous films are hitting theaters this week. The nervous thriller A bittersweet life, which turns into a violent revenge film. But even the lesser known, yet so fascinating, 2 sisters, a precisely staged horror film. OR Disgusting kingcomedy drama with Song Kang-ho as a trainee wrestler. If you are lucky enough to be able to access one of the rare sessions offered, we recommend that you go without hesitation.
