From his role in Hate by Mathieu Kassovitz in 1995, Vincent Cassel has established himself as a star of French and international cinema. In his almost thirty-year career he has multiplied projects and roles, finding himself equally at ease in French and English. On December 13th he will return as Athos, the melancholy musketeerin the second part of the saga The Three Musketeersthis time focusing on the antagonist Milady.
Although he appeared in more than sixty feature films, the actor still has one big regret about his career, which he confided to Pierre Lescure, in the show Nice gesture broadcast on France 2 this Sunday 26 November.
Thus, Vincent Cassel declared that he terribly regretted not having accepted the role that Ladj Ly had offered him in his film Unfortunatepublished in 2019.
Ladj Ly called me to play a role in this film, and it was a bit of a complicated moment for the rest of my life. I was juggling and I told him, “Look, I can’t, I can’t freeze”

When I saw the trailer I said “poor bastard”. I called him and said, ‘Ladj, I’ve never had regrets, but this time I was terrible.’
