Neil Gaiman’s Sandman adaptation resumes filming of season 2

The streaming platform also released a letter from the comic book author stating that “good things are coming”

Netflix announced that Sandman will resume filming its second season soon now that the Hollywood strikes have come to an end. “35 years ago, the first edition of comics by Sandman it was launched. This week, [a série] Sandman resumes its production”revealed the streaming platform on social media.

On its official website, Netflix also released a letter of Neil Gaimantalking about the second season of the series: “We never know where our dreams will take us. 35 years ago, the first issue of Sandman was released, and it set many people and characters on paths that seemed, even then, so unusual as to be almost impossible.”the text begins.

“This week, we officially restart production on the new Sandman story series for Netflix. The genius showrunner Allan Heinberg and the countless people in front of and behind the camera are building something endlessly special, and bringing these stories to life in a way that before it would have been unimaginable”continues Gaiman.

“The journey that will take us from the garden of Destiny to Hell is beginning, from the heart of the Dreaming to Ancient Greece and revolutionary France, and from there to places I can’t even imagine on screen. I will be patient. Good things are coming.”concludes the author.
