Furious : the prequel to Mad Max Road Fury takes place
George Miller made his mark in 2015 with Mad Max: Road Fury. The director returned to the emblematic character worn by Mel Gibson for three films. Only this time it’s Tom Hardy playing the famous Max in a post-apocalyptic world. Under its remake/reboot guise, Way of Fury it is interesting for the place given to the hero. A silent man, increasingly solitary and who finds himself leading a group of young women away to escape the terrible warlord Immortan Joe.
From then on Max becomes almost a secondary character Furiosa (Charlize Theron) steals the show. It is therefore not for nothing that after the success of the film (which we remember as visually stunning) the idea of a spin-off centered on the heroine was mooted. The spin-off eventually became a prequel starring Anya Taylor-Joy to reprise her role as Charlize Theron. And almost nine years later, we will finally be able to see the result. But by May 22, 2024, the release date of Furiousthe film is first revealed with a first trailer long awaited, revealed during the CCXP which was held in Brazil. The video is waiting to be discovered in an articleand it’s heavy!
Anya Taylor-Joy vs. Chris Hemsworth
We therefore find in these images a much younger and already in danger Furiosa, 45 years after the apocalypse. In the film, the latter will be torn from her family and will fall into the hands of a horde of motorcyclists led by Dementus. While crossing the Wasteland, they will encounter Immortan Joe. Furious, she will then find herself in the middle of a war between the two tyrants and she will have to do everything to survive and hope to return home.
The video excites us and promises us an explosive and violent film! We are in the same spirit as Way of Fury with impressive physical effects and fascinating, dirty and burning images. The use of digital effects is felt even more than in the previous film Mad Maxbut the proposal remains crazy!
Finally, in addition to Anya Taylor-Joy, we find in the casting of Furious Chris Hemsworth (Dementus), completely unrecognizable with his fake nose. The two performers are the best-known names, but the other faces present (a bunch of “dirty faces”) should impress.
