Release of two visualizers on the themes of Gustavo Cerati: “Avenida Alcorta” and “Sudestada”

The day came. Today two new videos by Gustavo Cerati are published on audiovisual platforms, both through his career as a soloist and in viewer format: “Alcorta Avenue” and “Sudestada”.

The theme “Avenida Alcorta” is part of the album “Amor Amarillo”released in 1993. It was his first work as a soloist, carried out in parallel with Soda Stereo, during the hiatus where he went to live in Chile to await the birth of his first son, Benito.

Cerati lived in an apartment on Alcorta Avenue, near the River Plate Club, during part of the creation of Amor Amarillo, suggesting that the inspiration for the composition came from there.

The song “Sudestada” was released in 2002 and is part of the album “Siempre es hoy”. It features the participation of Charly García, and some images from the recording appear in this viewer.

These releases mark a continuation of the plan to release two videos per month, new tracks corresponding to different songs included in their famous five studio albums (“Amor Amarillo”, “Bocanada”, “Siempre Es Hoy”, “Ahí Vamos” and “Natural force”).

The idea is to showcase Cerati’s entire solo work, so that videos from different albums are combined monthly, all directed by Nico Bernaudoaudiovisual designer of Gustavo Cerati shows since 2004 and also of the historic tour of the trio “Me Verás Volver”, in 2007, as well as director of the Soda Stereo visualizers launched in 2021.
