Producer Ben Nedivi talked about what he expects from the future of the series if it is renewed
The final season of “For All Mankind” from the Apple TV+ was recently completed, and Ben Nedivi, one of the show’s creators, gave some hints about where the story could go for a potential fifth season. In an interview with TVLine, Nedivi hinted that the series could expand human exploration beyond Mars.
The end of the fourth season brought an advance in narrative time. After wrapping up the events of 2003, the final moments revealed a jump to the year 2012. The episode ended with the successful mission to “kidnap” an asteroid and the discovery of Goldilocks wandering in the orbit of Mars, ensuring continuity investment in the space mission.
“To us, that image at the end says two things: One, that this insane heist actually worked. It was worth it. They’re investing in Mars and the asteroid, which, if that’s the case, you have to imagine the impact of that on Mars would also be huge. So for us, what’s always exciting about moving forward with the plot is imagining where we can go,” he said. Ben Nedivi.
“That means not just the asteroid and the impact it has on Mars, but possibly going to a colony that is much larger than the one you see in Season 4. Now we have the potential to go beyond Mars. That’s always been in the cards. our minds to history, and the further we can go with it, the further we can take space travel too,” he concluded.
Although the Apple TV+ has not yet confirmed the renewal of “For All Mankind” for a fifth season, Nedivi expressed optimism about the continuity of the series.
“There have definitely been conversations about it, yes. You can feel like things are starting to look up, and everyone is starting to get ready to, ‘Okay, we know this is all about to happen again, so let’s start talking seriously about how we prepared the way for it’.” he added.
