The return of Gentleman
In 2019, Guy Ritchie directed one of his most complete films: The Lords. Returning to the first ideas that identified him as a director to follow, those of a gangster cinema so Britishthen entrusted Charlie Hunnam, Hugh Grant and Matthew McConaughey with a very colorful story of drug traffickers, in an atmosphere reminiscent of Rip and of Rocknroll.
After the movie The Lordsso here we are now series, of which Guy Ritchie is director, screenwriter and executive producer. It consists of 8 episodes and it will be possible to find out on Netflix in March 2024. It is a spin-off of the film and is directly part of its continuity:
Eddie Halstead has inherited a large estate from his father, but soon discovers that his land is part of Mickey Pearson’s marijuana growing empire.
In the 2019 film, Mickey Pearson was played by Matthew McConaughey, the head of a vast marijuana cultivation organization, mainly installed on properties of the English aristocracy. If he is not part of the cast of the series, his character therefore exists in this new story.
