Winner of a Golden Globe, a Critics Choice Award and an Emmy Awards for his portrayal of Roman Roy in the fourth and final season of Succession, Kieran Culkinrevealed that he has not yet watched the final episode of the HBO series for a very specific reason.
“It wasn’t on purpose. I was in Poland and couldn’t log into my account. [HBO] Max. It was an application problem. Then I went on vacation and after that I thought, ‘Yeah, [o final] It was three months ago.’ I want to go back and watch it”explained to The Hollywood Reporter.
In the fourth and final season of Succession, which aired in the early months of 2023, the sale of media conglomerate Waystar Royco causes a family rift between the Roys, who are eager to find out what their lives will be like once the deal is completed. Watch the trailer:
Spin-off of Succession? No way!
During the Golden Globes red carpet, which took place at the beginning of the month, Kieran Culkin stated that a spin-off of Succession he would be “a horrible idea”, showing himself against the possibility. He also said that there are cases that work, such as Frasier — spin-off of Cheers —, “but not every series can be Frasier.”
Still, the interpreter Roman Roy admitted that, if this really happened, a spin-off focused on Gregrole of Nicholas Braunit could work. “Cousin Greg would make a good spin-off, I have to be honest”he stated.
