Titanic: Kate Winslet absent from the film premiere

Someone who I had spent four and a half years of my life with had just died, and what bothered me was that people would take notice… They would talk to me, they would say things like, ‘Look, we understand, it must be really hard for you’ and then they continued: ‘but don’t you think Stephen would have wanted it?’ (…) No, he wouldn’t have wanted it, damn it. Stephen would have wanted me to be present at his funeral, and I will be there.” I was really shocked by it (…)
