Jurassic World: a new film expected for 2025
When there’s more, there’s even more… while we thought the dinosaurs’ time on the big screen was definitely over Jurassic World: the world after, the latter will finally return in a new work of the franchise. And the project is progressing very quickly as Universal just officially decided on a release date: July 2, 2025.
Since it’s Wednesday (and not Friday, US release day), it looks like we’re moving forward towards a global release for this new film in the series Jurassic.
As announced a few weeks ago, this new chapter will represent a total reboot of the franchise, and will not be a sequel to the events of The World After. As for casting, same fight, this film does not feature any stars from the two trilogies.
An amazing director attached
The good news is that the writing has been entrusted to David Koepp, who is already writing the screenplays of the first two Jurassic Park by Steven Spielberg. So we can trust him to raise the level previous works written by Colin Trevorrow and which made many fans of the franchise shudder.
On the production side, and that’s it a rather surprising choice, David Leitch is the studio’s favorite for the moment. In any case, this is what the media announced Expiration A few hours ago. The director with a background as a stuntman cut his teeth in action films and has some great successes under his belt John Wick (co-directed the film) Deadpool 2, Fast and Furious: Hobbs and Shaw, Atomic blonde or more recently High speed train.
He is used to big sagas and should therefore handle the pressure of a cult franchise like Jurassic World.
For the moment, no information has been leaked regarding the plot of this new film. We will still have to wait to find out the details of the return of the dinosaurs.
