The series, which is currently in the early stages of development, receives Lionsgate Television and Temple Hill’s Marty Bowen, Wyck Godfrey, Phoebe Zimmer and Sydney Title. Ricciardo, one of the most prolific F1 drivers in the world, will deliver the goods. Ricciardo drives for McLaren and has won an impressive eight Grand Prix races.
The news comes after racing projects heat up the television and movie scene. Apple has just taken over the Formula 1 feature, which Brad Pitt was involved in after a competitive bidding war. Netflix recently released a NASCAR-backed comedy series starring Kevin James. პ Crew, Which was canceled after one season. Apple also recently released a documentary about British F1 driver Lewis Hamilton.
