One last dance for Venom
When Poison arrived in theaters in 2018, we didn’t expect the film starring Tom Hardy to be such a success. However, the film grossed more than $856 million in revenue worldwide (for a budget of 100 million). A solid success despite very negative press feedback. So, it didn’t get much more glorious with the sequel Venom: Let there be carnage (2021). Except that even in this case the figures were very good for Sony Pictures which grossed more than $483 million in revenue during Covid. Result, the study quickly confirmed a Poison 3which is supposed to be Eddie Block’s last adventure.
In fact, Sony Pictures has communicated (via Expiration) the official title of this third work. Forget Poison 3. From now on you will have to call him Venom: The Last Dance. A very evocative title that refers to “one last lap”, and therefore to a last adventure for Eddie and his symbiote. Of course, if there were any significant success, the studio could always find a way to restart the machine with a fourth film. But for the moment nothing has been declared on the matter.
Venom 3 will be released sooner than expected
On the other hand, the good news for those who are looking forward to it Venom: The Last Dance, is that we’ll have to wait a little shorter than expected to see the blockbuster. Recall that the film had been postponed by several months, i.e. from July to November 2024. Sony Pictures finally opted for another date, two weeks ago, October 25 in the United States. In France the feature film should be shown in cinemas October 23.
Before Poison 3another superhero movie is planned from Sony Pictures Kraven the Hunterdated again August 28, 2024. Hopefully this will make us forget the failure of Mrs. Weband it will open correctly with Venom’s last dance…
