Coming soon to Disney+: This tragic love story will move you

The greatest hits : Lucy Boynton in full mourning

In the genre of romantic comedy that makes you cry, Hollywood cinema knows how to do it. Among the many titles we could mention, it comes to mind PS I love you (2008). In it, Hilary Swank sees her husband, played by Gerard Butler, suddenly die. In the worst moment after this tragedy, she will still manage to get back on her feet thanks to her late husband who, before he died, had planned a trip for her guided by a message that she received every month for a year.

In front of the trailer of The greatest hitspresented by Disney+ (video on the first page of the article)we immediately established the connection with the film based on the novel PS I love you by Cecilia Ahern. Even in this case the woman is unable to get over the death of her partner. But the originality of this film comes from the fact that Harriet leaves relive moments from your past by listening to songs. Like a step back in time, every time she listens to certain songs, she finds herself immersed in intimate moments with her ex-boyfriend. An interesting fantasy part that serves as a metaphor for mourning. Furthermore, when she meets another man to build something with, the heroine will hesitate to actually move on.

A moving trailer

We owe this next love story to Ned Benson, screenwriter Black Widowand director of The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: Them (2013). From the first seconds of the trailer, we feel the emotion overwhelming us like the notes of Noisy places by Jamie XX. And the comparisons between Harriet and her ex also go in this direction. The presence of Lucia Boyton the casting also helps to make the young woman empathetic. Alongside her we find Justin H. Min and David Corenswet (the new face of Superman). There is no doubt that fans of the genre will be carried away by this drama which has everything to bring about a few tears.
