“She who can, can”, a deep voice that sounds like it comes from a vintage low-budget video game repeats itself endlessly. And that’s how it begins, precisely, “La Que Podemos, Podemos”, the first preview of “Baño María”, the first joint album that Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso will release on April 18.
After the intro which sounds like a mantra (and will return in the form of a chorus), the song turns into the (non)style to which the duo has accustomed its fans.
On an industrial techno basis, Ca7riel delivers the most percussive and direct bars while Paco Amoroso brings the melody to the dancefloor side.. All united by endless references to expressions of popular culture.
Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso thus apply a sort of shock therapy: they draw out words which constitute a cloud of information which seems disjointed but does nothing other than reflect the speed and exposure to content of all kinds to which we are exposed.
The release of “La Que Podemos, Podemos” is the third action of Ca7riel and Paco Amoroso since the announcement of the release of “Baño María”.
On Thursday, March 14, they announced the news with a teaser directed by Terrivle. And the next day, they made their presentation at Lollapalooza Argentina a listening party: instead of giving a show, their DJ Anita B Queen played the album while Ca7riel and Paco Amoroso had fun in a jacuzzi and his friends filled the stage to dance and party.
