Despite being one of the most iconic scenes in Spider man (2002), directed by Sam Raimi and starring Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst (mary jane) was “miserable” while filming this remarkable moment.

In the scene in question, which takes place during torrential rain, mary jane removes part of the mask Spider man, who was upside down, to give him a kiss after being saved. During an interview with The Jonathan Ross Showthe actress recalled these behind-the-scenes moments.

“I remember of Sam Raimi giving me a book of famous kisses for inspiration, but he also wanted to make it special, even if it was kind of miserable to do so,” he said. “It was pouring rain, freezing, Tobey He couldn’t breathe, so it was almost like I was resuscitating him.”
