Ripleya new Netflix production, based on the novels by Tom Ripleyin Patricia Highsmithand starring Andrew Scottin All of Us Strangers (2023), could go from a miniseries to a series with more seasons.
At least, that is the desire of the creator of the production, Steven Zaillianwho spoke about the possibility of the novelty getting new episodes in the future: “There are other books and they are very good”declared in an interview with Collider.
“In terms of character continuity, yes, I think there’s a lot more. Tom Ripley goes through a lot of changes over the five books, and they’re all interesting, so yeah, definitely. And films were also made about the other books. So, given the right circumstances, yes, I would.”added Zaillian.
In the miniseries, Ripley (Scott) is a con man in 19960s New York, who is hired by a very rich man to travel to Italy and convince his son to return home. However, accepting the job is just the beginning of a web of deception, fraud and murder.
