Heroes: the return of the cult series soon?



Heroes : a second relaunch is in preparation

Superheroes aren’t just found at DC and Marvel. The test with Heroes (2006-2010), which had left its mark in its time. In France, it was on TF1 that we discovered Tim Kring’s creation which followed unconnected individuals who developed extraordinary gifts. Like a cheerleader who discovers she can regenerate, a politician who flies or even a man who can teleport. Fans will of course recognize Claire Bennet, Nathn Petrelli and Hiro Nakamura, played on screen by Hayden Panettiere, Adrian Pasdar and Masi Oka. Besides them there were Milo Ventimiglia (Peter Petrelli), Greg Grunberg (Matt Parkman), Ali Larter (Niki Sanders), Sendhil Ramamurthy (Mohinder Suresh) and Zachary Quinto (Sylar).

Not everything was perfect Heroes, and the weaknesses in the writing made themselves felt as the seasons passed. But there was a truly compelling and original atmosphere that needed to be defended. This didn’t stop the show from being canceled after 4 seasons. However, a first relaunch was attempted in 2015 with Heroes reborn, a miniseries sequel from NBC. Almost ten years later, a new return would be considered.

An eclipse for the new powers

Second ExpirationTim Kring would be working on a new sequel to his series Heroes: Eclipsed. A title of no small importance, given that it is following an eclipse that the protagonists of the show develop their powers. An element that returns in the series, as when a second eclipse, this time, temporarily takes away their powers from those involved. As for the new series, the American media announced that it would take place years after the events of the original series, as new characters discover they have powers. A sort of revival therefore, which could involve villains already known to fans.

The development ofHeroes: Eclipsed it’s only in its early stages and no names have been announced yet in terms of casting. We don’t even know who will broadcast this new program imagined by Tim Kring in France, nor when.
