Production is based on a personal experience lived by Richard Gadd, who also writes, produces and stars in the Netflix miniseries
Richard Gaddcreator, screenwriter, producer and protagonist of Baby Reindeer (Baby Reindeer), one of Netflix’s biggest recent hits, revealed that he wrote the scripts for the miniseries “obsessively” so that he could guarantee the quality of the production.
“I had to go into a very obsessive place [para escrever]. I spent crazy hours on this. My best time to write is from 5am, and I always get up at [4h30] and wrote obsessively almost until he went to bed the next day.”said [via The Hollywood Reporter]

In Baby Reindeer, Richard Gadd plays the comedian Donny Dunn – a version of himself – who is desperate to fulfill his dream of making a living from his art. However, while that doesn’t happen, he works as a bartender in a London bar.
On what seemed like another ordinary day, Martha (Jessica Gunning) enters the establishment. Dunn He asks her what she would like to drink, but the woman, who introduces herself as a lawyer with great personalities, says she has no money.
