Anya Taylor-Joy succeeds Charlize Theron Furious

To promote FuriousAnya Taylor-Joy recently gave an interview GQ. In particular, she revealed that she pushed George Miller to shoot a sequence that she would have liked to see in the film. At the end of the film, the main character fights with Dementus. But her interpreter wanted to go further. She thus convinced the director of the film to shoot a passage in which he cut out Dementus’s tongue. George Miller, however, decided not to keep this sequence in the edit. Despite this, Anya Taylor-Joy retained a memory of it. In fact, the film’s prop masters made a duplicate of Dementus’ severed tongue, which the actress now keeps at home.
During his interview with GQ, Anya Taylor-Joy also spoke more generally about the comparison between Furiosa and Dementus. She explained that, in her opinion, it was ” Very important “ that this confrontation is physical, and “hard earned. » So he clearly wanted to show it the ferocity of his character during this sequence. We still hope to see it appear as a bonus when the film releases on physical media.
