Responsible for adapting the comics by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, Eric Kripke wants ‘a more emotionally satisfying outcome’

During an interview with Variety, Kripke commented on the differences that an adaptation needs to make in relation to the source material, be it a book, comic book, game, among others. It’s worth remembering how he confirmed that the fifth season will be the last.
“There are certain things in the comics that we couldn’t do even if we wanted to. There are some really shocking twists at the end of the comics, but I want to create a slightly more emotionally satisfying ending to the series,” he said. “The ending I have in mind brings some elements inspired by the original, but is radically different.”

The fourth season of The Boys arrives on Prime Video in June, but a fifth year has already been confirmed and, according to Eric Kripkecreator of the hit series, the scripts have already started to be written and are full of “pretty crazy things”.
“We’ve been in the writers’ room for about a month now, so we have some cool insights [sobre a nova temporada]”declared to the Screen Rant. “[As ideias] they are still quite unstable, like lava.
