Actor asked Aemond Targaryen to take off his clothes in the 3rd episode of House of the Dragon, a spin-off series from Game of Thrones
Ewan Mitchell asked them to take off their character’s clothes, Aemond Targaryenin the most recent episode of The House of the Dragon(2022- ), “The Burning Mill”which aired last Sunday (30). The information was revealed by the chapter director, Geeta Patel.
“Ewan said, ‘I want to be completely naked in that moment. It’s important to me because that’s who my character is. That’s what he would do.’ And that’s what he did.”declared in an interview with Variety. According to the director, the nudity in the scene helped to show the character’s vulnerability:
“It’s one of the few moments where we see the child within Aemondin which we see his pain. The fact that he doesn’t care about people seeing his penis is a visceral change”he added.
What is the story of The House of the Dragon?
The House of the Dragon takes place about two hundred years before the events of game of Thrones and is adapted from the book Fire & Bloodin George R.R. Martin. In the episodes of season 2, Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy, Truth Seekers) fights against his own brother, Aegon II Targaryen (Tom Glynn-Carney, Tolkien), for the right to sit on the Iron Throne and rule the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros.
