Emma Robertsa former Nickelodeon star, has revealed that she was shocked by the allegations against the popular children’s network, revealed in the documentary series Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Children’s TV. The actress, who headed the cast of the series Too normal(Unfabulousin the original), she also said that her mother was with her all the time, which protected her from abusive situations:
“I watched [à série documental] and I was completely horrified and shocked, because that was not my experience.”told Variety. “I was very sad that this was happening to people I saw often and I had no idea.”
“The showrunner we had was an amazing woman named Sue Rose. And I didn’t realize it at the time, but a woman as a showrunner at that time was not very common.”the actress continued. “Also, my mom was with me 24/7, and even I was like, ‘You don’t have to be here all the time. ‘ And she was like, ‘Actually, I do. I won’t let you out of my sight. ‘”
Roberts completed saying “that children need to be protected on sets just like adults, and I feel like we’re working towards a better work environment in that regard. But yeah, this documentary really kept me up at night.”.

In five chapters, Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Children’s TV addresses alleged cases of moral and sexual harassment behind the scenes at Nickelodeon.
