The National Poncho Festival will bring to life Miranda, Ke Personajes and Los Tekis

The National and International Poncho Festival was born in 1967 around the handmade poncho and as a way to honor and recognize the master craftsmen whose skills and knowledge fill all of Catamarca with pride. Between July 5 and 16, 1967, in the emblematic tourist block located in the center of the city of San Fernando del Valle, an initiative began to take shape that generated the greatest identity reference of Catamarca.

Currently, it has become the event that an entire province looks forward to every July to participate in a gathering of crafts and festival. Over time, this festival has attracted participation from different parts of the country and the world.

The Poncho Festival has become the cultural and tourist space par excellence where the magic of the ancestral, represented in its crafts and fabrics, is combined with current music from the hands of leading artists who shine year after year in their settings.

Last year, more than a million and a half people experienced this ten-day period. This year, the festival aims to improve and for this it has brought together artists such as La Berisso, Emanero, Los Tekis, Ke Personajes and even the legendary pop duo: Miranda! All these elements are added to the local talents that always stand out during the festival.
