Star Trek: Strange New Worlds It recently wrapped season one, ending what some may call the best start for any series in the franchise to date. Lot of Paramount + subscribers I loved the season and I want the show to be rewarded with recognition in return. Well, the Emmy nominations have been announced, and although the Emigrate The series has not been avoided entirely, it has been overlooked in many large categories.
The Emmy nominations are out, and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds It only got one nomination for Best Sound Editing for a Comedy or Drama Series (one hour). It’s an honor to be named, as always, but I’m there Emigrate fans who aren’t happy that the Anson Mount-led series is empty when it comes to nominations. One station:
I have to say I’m really sorry there is only one nomination for #StrangeNewWorlds. This first season has been wonderful. #StarTrek really coolJuly 12, 2022
Fans heard it Star Trek: Strange New Worlds It deserved recognition in other categories as well, but apparently the Emmy decision makers didn’t. The costume work, while looking slightly toned down from the original series, was top notch. Let’s also not forget that Anson Mount’s hair alone for Captain Pike should have gotten a hair and makeup trophy!
No Emmy nominations for hair and makeup for #StarTrek #StrangeNewWorlds ??? @CaptPikesHair and SNW resident hair genius Daniel Losco were totally snubbed! 😑😝😂 pic.twitter.com/hTZ6NiC5NUJuly 12, 2022
No kidding, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds he really did it all in season one and he did it all kill Hemmer, the fan favorite beloved remake a classic star Trek episode with Captain Kirk by Paul Wesley. Oh yeah, and he introduced an exciting new character with deep ties to Spock’s evil brother in the movies, Sybok. The show seemed to deserve more than technical recognition, and others think so too:
Emmys need to introduce a cast category for many reasons, but ESPECIALLY Star Trek: Strange New Worlds could get a non-tech nomination.July 12, 2022
At the same time, an award nomination is better than zero. While there have been many celebrations Star Trek: Strange New Worldsan appointment e picardof the four nominations, others noticed immediately Discovery did not receive any nominations:
I love that #StarTrekPicard and #StrangeNewWorlds have been nominated, well deserved! But this moment shows the efforts to cancel #StarTrekDiscovery: the cast and crew are breaking down barriers and leading the franchise in this golden age of Trek. They all also deserved many nominations.July 12, 2022
It’s hard to argue against this claim and I agree it’s sad to see this fight for meaningful nominations in what looks like one Emigrate Television rebirth. The awards are unlikely to attract fans to watch more than them, but it would be nice to see everyone’s cast and crew. star Trek The shows are garnering more accolades for their impressive work over the past year:
It will take some time before it surpasses #StrangeNewWorlds NOT the nomination for stunning visual special effects at this year’s Emmy Awards. (And even more so if I think of some shows that have been previously mentioned. Ridiculous.) #StarTrek pic.twitter.com/D4gRTQOmyUJuly 13, 2022
As for strange new worlds in particular, perhaps season 2 will receive more accolades for the series. Melissa Navia said the second season is better than the first, e Christina Chong also defended this claim. . Paul Wesley’s James Kirk will have a bigger role next season, and apparently too interact with your future best friend Spock so maybe the Emmys will be different for this show next time.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 1 is available to stream in its entirety to Paramount + (opens in a new tab). Season 2 is on its way and the creative team already is work a little to prepare for season 3 once it officially gets the green light, the show will likely go on regardless of the awards.
