What is the story of Penguin?
Penguin takes place shortly after the events of the film and, according to Farrellshows “a man’s rise to a position of power and social status he always dreamed of inhabiting”: “Oswald’s Journey [Cobblepot, o Pinguim] It’s about rising to the top of a chain of power in Gotham, and there are no few obstacles in your way.”explained to MovieZine.
In the story, the city of Gotham is fragile — after the plan to Charade (Paul Dano, Pantheon) —, with political leadership shaken and public confidence in justice and security in decline. With the death of Carmine Falcone (John Turturro, Break), a central figure in Gotham’s criminal world, begins a power struggle for Gotham’s underworld.
