The Office of Legends revisited

The Office of Legends remains, for many, one of the best French series having been created. The story of the agents of the famous DGSE department, divided into five seasons, fascinated many viewers during its broadcast on Canal+ from 2015 to 2020.

The popularity of the series created by Éric Rochant has crossed borders. So much so The Office of Legends was chosen by Showtime to be the subject ofa remake. Titled The Agencythis remake will be carried forward by Michael Fassbender. If the latter has already had a very prolific career in cinema, this is his first leading role in a series. Even though the project was announced a long time ago, first images they have just been revealed.

The Agency reveals itself

Entertainment weekly just shared the first images of The Agency. We see Michael Fassbender in action, along with other main characters from the series. As shown in these images, The Office of Legends The American version is therefore included in its distribution Richard Gere, Jeffrey Wright, India Fowler and Jodie Turner-Smith.

The Agency centers on a CIA agent codenamed Martian. The series begins when he returns to the London office after being undercover for six long years. Soon, a romantic relationship what he believed belonged to the past resurfaces and contradicts his career and his true identity.

A broadcast expected soon

The Agency it was written by the brothers Jez and John-Henry Butterworth. In the political thriller genre they had already signed the screenplay Fair game before tackling the new version of The Office of Legends. George Clooney he is also involved in the series as a producer. He was initially supposed to direct the episodes, but eventually left the hand to other directors, including Joe Wright.

According to Richard Gere, the series will be “very contemporary”. It will therefore be interested in global conflicts different from those explored The Office of Legends. The spread of The Agency will start to late autumn this year on Paramount+. We are still waiting for a more precise date. The first season will have ten episodes. We still don’t know if the series will continue for more seasons, like the French version.
