4 zeros : we take (almost) the same

Before the success of the cult saga Camping (2006, 2010, 2016), and after playing the Jet Set’s strongman in the film of the same name (2000), Fabien Onteniente faced the world of football with 3 zeros (2002). A comedy that focuses mainly on player agents and focuses on a guy called Tibor Kovacs, who dreamed of playing for PSG. In the casting we found Gérard Darmon, Gerard LanvinLorànt Deutsch, Samuel Le Bihan and Isabelle Nanty. 22 years later, not everyone has returned 4 zerosbut the idea is generally the same.

Sylvie (Isabelle Nanty) has rebuilt her life with José Pinto (Didier Bourdon) and opened a Portuguese restaurant, Churrasco. While the restaurant struggles to attract customers, José’s son Manu (Paul Deby) in turn thinks he has found a future football star in Kidane (Mamadou Haïdara). The boy dreams of becoming an agent and hopes to prove himself with Kidane. To help her, Sylvie decides to contact her brother Alain (Gérard Lanvin) who has distanced himself from this environment for years. He still agrees to return. But he will have to get up to speed immediately because DZ (Kaaris)Even , a powerful agent, is involved in the case.

4 zeros ultimately it presents itself as a comedy about the Pinto family, between father and son who don’t understand each other, a symbol of a generation gap. The same change that Alain will experience when discovering the world of football today.

I’m shy and stressed during a scene

For football fans, the film (like 3 Zeros) multiplies the cameos of the players (Marquinhos, Kimpembe, Rai or even Paolo Pogba who has real scenes to play), coaches (Guy Roux and Rolland Courbis) or even media personalities (most of the speakers of L’Équipe 21). Without forgetting Mohamed Hennimuch calmer than in his videos about Olympique de Marseille. But also Tamara Marthe, alias I’m shywho continues her career as an actress here playing the daughter of Oscar Marbello (Gérard Darmon in the first film).

For the actress, 4 zeros it was an important moment since it is his first feature film. As he revealed to us in an interview, he felt real stress on set. Already very tense, she almost had to improvise for one scene.

The scene we shot together in Churrasco. I waited three hours even though I had no messages, I just had to be behind. I wait and just before shooting Fabien says to me: “Ok, can you learn it?” I was under enormous stress and learned on the job.

Despite the pressure, Shy’m didn’t give up, seeing it more as a challenge.

I wouldn’t have said, “Um, yeah, no, I’ve been waiting for a while…” No, I was in “Don’t say anything, learn your lines” mode. I still had my piece of paper under my thigh just in case! But it was a nice anxious moment.
