Black Adam Comic-Con images show Dwayne Johnson’s DC character battling the Justice Society

To say it’s been a long wait to see Dwayne Johnson play Black Adam is an understatement, as The Rock has been tied to the role for over a decade, even before the DC Extended Universe was a thing. Well, there are only months to see Johnson finally bring the antihero to life and, in early June, the first black adam The trailer is out, giving us a taste of both the villain of the eponymous character and the involvement of the Justice Society of America. Now, a series of images have come straight from San Diego Comic-Con (in the footsteps of the Shazam! fury of the gods trailer) highlighting even more action, most notably showing Black Adam taking on the superhero team.

black adam Director Jaume Collet-Serra has made it clear that neither Superman nor Shazam will appear in this DC movie, although that doesn’t mean those crossovers can’t happen in the future. For now, however, Dwayne Johnson’s character will have his hands full with the Justice Society, whose DCEU members include Aldis Hodge’s Hawkman, Noah Centineo’s Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell’s Cyclone and Pierce Brosnan’s Doctor Fate. Now, the Justice Society is a fairly different team from Task Force X, so it’s very unlikely Waller will force Hawkman, Atom Smasher, Cyclone, and Doctor Fate to fight Black Adam as there are microbombs in their bodies. That said, it may have been Waller who informed the JSA that Black Adam was causing trouble. However, knowing her, he certainly has a second reason. I also bet he’s responsible for Black Adam ending up in this containment pod.
