Sandman: What is the best episode of the Netflix series? Neil Gaiman responds

The series hasn’t even premiered on Netflix yet, but Neil Gaiman has already revealed the best episode of Sandman

Sandman arrives at Netflix only next Friday, 5th, but Neil Gaimancreator of the comics that based the series, has already revealed the best episode in the first season of the production starring Tom Sturridge.

According to the iconic writer, the sixth episode, still without an official title revealed by streaming, of the series is the best. “I want that [os espectadores] watch episode 6 after having experienced episode 5,” he said during an interview with collider.

“It’s like episode 4 takes them to hell in a good way, while episode 5 puts them in a restaurant in hell. Episode 6 is cleansing, forgiving, welcoming, warm and beautiful, but you have to earn it.” continued Gaiman.

Neil Gaiman: ‘Brazil was the first country to discover sandman

In anticipation of the launch of the series of sandman at Netflix on August 5, 2022, Neil Gaimanauthor of the comics on which the production of the streaming is based, took the opportunity to bring an interesting curiosity in a publication on Twitter: “Brazil was the first country to discover sandman.”

In addition to this revelation, the writer took the opportunity to praise the location of the iconic work in Brazil: “The comics were published there with translations in (honesty forces me to admit) much better editions than the American comics.”

“Each issue had an enlarged cover detail on the back cover and illustrated essays explaining or expanding on things in the comics,” continued Gaiman in the publication. “Brazil was the first place an audience took the stage with me (ok, that event was a little scary).”

According to the author, Brazil was the first place where he saw an adaptation of sandman: Same stage a little before, was the part Oldest Game in A Hope in Hell. So this is me giving a special hello to Brazil, and all Brazilian Sandman readers. Sweet dreams! See you at Netflix on August 5th.”
