After a long period of absence from the big screen, the franchise of Kung Fu Panda is preparing to return with a new feature film.
On Friday, Universal announced that the fourth film in the series has officially entered production and is due for release on March 8, 2024. The film will follow the further adventures of the baby panda. bit even more amazed by the wonders of ancient China, whose love for kung fu is matched only by its insatiable appetite. So far the film has not yet found a director, but an announcement is expected in the coming months.
The first film in the series Kung Fu Panda came in 2008, earning him an Oscar nomination for Best Animated Film. The film’s success spawned two sequels, Kung Fu Panda 2 And Kung Fu Panda 3arrived respectively in 2011 and 2016. The franchise subsequently branched out into four additional short films, a television special and three animated series, respectively titled Mythical adventures, The feet of fate And The dragon knight, which is expected to debut on Netflix later this year. The first series was released on Nickelodeon in 2011 while the second came to Prime Video in 2018. Instead, short films from the franchise were distributed on home video editions of the films and titled The secrets of the Furious Five (2008), The celebration of Kung Fu Panda (2010), The secrets of the masters (2011) and The secrets of the parchment (2016).
