Singer reveals diagnosis that took him off stage and warns about daily habits that caused the crisis
Tiago Iorc He was rushed to hospital at the weekend after feeling severe pain in his neck. The singer revealed this Sunday, October 12, 2025, that he was diagnosed with a cervical herniated disc crisis and underwent a medical procedure with injections to block the inflammatory process.
Through publication in Instagram, Iorc He reassured his fans that he was fine and explained that the problem was caused by poor posture maintained over the years. The singer identified his height, the way he plays the guitar, excessive time on his cell phone and the tendency to keep his head down and his neck bent for prolonged periods as contributing factors.
The artist detailed how cervical disc herniation works, explaining that between the vertebrae there are discs that function as shock absorbers. When these discs are crushed by the vertebrae due to different causes, herniation or protrusion occurs. This extra volume invades the space of the nerves that branch from the spine, causing pain and other symptoms due to crushing.
This is not the first time that Tiago Iorc faces the problem. Approximately four years ago, he went through a similar crisis of cervical disc herniation, when he received a doctor’s suggestion for surgery. At the time, he managed to overcome the situation with less invasive treatments such as osteopathy, physiotherapy and pilates. The singer admitted to having become neglectful of these treatments over time, mistakenly believing that the absence of pain meant everything was fine.
Iorc highlighted that postural errors are cumulative and that consequences eventually appear. He described the pain as very disconcerting, preventing him from even finding a suitable position to sleep. Due to professional commitments and important trips planned, the doctors suggested carrying out the procedure to block the inflammatory process with injections in the affected areas of the spine.
The singer concluded his message to fans by advising preventive health care. He asked people to take care of their body, diet and mental health, emphasizing that daily care prevents many health problems.
