The two men have previously handled stories involving soldiers on missions. Taylor Sheridan created the series Special Operations: Lioness. He also wrote the screenplay for Hitman and its sequel, The war of the cartels. As for Peter Berg, among other things, he wrote and directed Blood and tears.
