The first episode of This: welcome to Derry attracted people
With Jason Fuchs, Andy AND Barbara Muschietti created the series This: welcome to Derry. This takes place more than two decades before the events of the film released in 2017. It is located like this in the 60s. Its plot revolves around several children lives in Derry, near a US Air Force base and its mysterious bunker. Searching for one of their missing friendschildren find each other quickly faced with terrifying phenomena.
The first episode of This: welcome to Derry East visible in France from Monday 27 October on HBO Max. It was released the day before in the United States. Before its release, Andy Muschietti warned fans that this episode was destined to do just that kick off the series in a surprising way. And that promise may have helped the show deliver an impressive start.
The third best start in HBO Max history!
Variety reports it This: welcome to Derry reunited 5.7 million viewers in just three days! This figure is the combination of the HBO channel audience measured by the specialized site Nielsen and Warner Bros. Discovery data relating to the number of views on HBO. And this total allows the horror series to sign the third biggest start of any series released since the launch of HBO Max!

According to Warner Bros. Discovery, Alone House of the Dragon AND The last of us he did better. The company did not specify the total of these two series over three days. But Variety indicates it House of the Dragon attracted 10 million viewers AND The last of us 4.7 million on the day of their launch.
The second episode is already available
As promised by Andy Muschietti, the first episode of This: welcome to Derry he did very well. It left viewers shocked with its final sequence. The Argentine director explained it recently this episode set the tone for the entire series. Fans are now warned: “no one will be safe” in the rest of the show.
As a reminder, HBO chose to do this an exception for the second episode From This: welcome to Derry. To celebrate Halloween, this is it visible from this Friday 31 October on HBO Max, instead of starting Monday, November 3. The series will then resume its original broadcast rhythm, with the release ofa new episode every Monday. The eighth and last will be revealed next December 15th.
