Created by Dona Déa Lúcia and Ju Amaral, the artist’s mother and sister, the production premieres in May 2026, in Rio de Janeiro
In the week that Paulo Gustavo would turn 47 years old, the auditions were opened to choose the actor who will give life to the comedian in the show My Son is a Musicalproduced by Touché Entretenimento in partnership with Dona Déa Lúcia and Ju Amaralmother and sister of the artist, who arrives on May 11, 2026 at Teatro Multiplan, at Shopping VillageMall, in Rio de Janeiro.
Held in Rio de Janeiro until December 6, 2025, the auditions are looking for actors with a tenor or baritone vocal classification, with an apparent age between 18 and 35 years old, experience in musical theater, singing and humor, as well as children aged 6 to 10 to represent the artist’s childhood phase.

My Son is a Musical was born from the desire to immortalize on stage the life and legacy of Paulo Gustavowhich transformed humor and affection into art. The text is signed by Fil Brazthe artist’s partner in the creations of 220 Volts and the film trilogy My Mother is a Piecein addition to being a close friend, with the collaboration of the anthropologist and researcher Beatriz Coelho — personal friend and former advisor to Paulo, currently advisor to Miss Déa —, who contributes with his experience and sensitive perspective to the construction of the show.
