Another large distribution for Dune 3
Denis Villeneuve he wasn’t sure whether to continue his adaptations of Frank Hebert’s universe on screen. But after being praised for his first film Dune as well as for his sequel, the Quebec director decided to return to Arrakis a third feature film. This time, it should be the last one in this universe.
After dividing Frank Herbert’s seminal novel into two parts for his two previous films, Denis Villeneuve will now adapt the American writer’s second book about Paul Atréides. This is to say The Messiah of Dune. Once again he gathered a great cast for this new work. He appealed again Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Florence Pugh AND Anya Taylor-Gioia to play Paul, Chani, Princess Irulan and Alia. AND another famous actor has landed a new role in the feature film.
Robert Pattinson will be in the film
As we reported last June, Robert Pattinson had entered into negotiations to join the cast of Dune 3. But we have had no news on this topic since then. However, the actor has finally confirmed his presence in the feature film. During an interview with IndieWirehe also revealed that he he has already filmed his scenessharing his thoughts on this experience:
When I was making Dune, it was so hot in the desert that I couldn’t question anything. And it was so relaxing, it was like my brain wasn’t working, I didn’t have a single functioning cell in my brain. And I just listened to Denis: ‘Whatever you want!’

Robert Pattinson did not mention the role he played Dune 3. But, barring surprises, will appear in Scytale’s costume. The latter is an enemy of Paul Atreides in the universe imagined by Frank Herbert. It is especially so one of the Secret Masters of Bene Tleilax, a fictional society.

Robert Pattinson won’t be the only new face starring Dune 3. Among the new arrivals, Nakoa-Wolf Momoa AND Ida Brooke were announced in the roles of Leto II and Ghanima last June. These twins are Paul’s children Atréides and Chani.
Dune 3 will come out December 16, 2026 in French cinemas.
That same year, In the film we will see Robert Pattinson Die my love with Jennifer Lawrence from March 4, 2026. Will also share the poster of The drama with Zendaya. As recently explained, this film will be released on April 3, 2026 in North America. But its release date in France is still unknown. Finally, during his interview with IndieWireRobert Pattinson has revealed that he is currently filming the heist movie Here comes the flood with Denzel Washington AND Daisy Edgar Jones. This will be visible on Netflix, on a date yet to be determined.
