Schitt’s Creek favorite Dan Levy is heading to Netflix for his first TV role since David Rose

It may be hard to believe, but it’s been over two years since then Anse de Schitt closed the stories of its main characters after 80 episodes. Some showbiz stars like Emily Hampshire have already found other roles, and now fan-favorite actor Dan Levy has landed his first major television role since he said goodbye to David Rose. And like so many before him, the star is heading to Netflix.

Dan Levy joins the cast of the popular Netflix series Sex education for its highly anticipated fourth season. The streamer made the announcement Twitter, not only by revealing to fans that season 4 is in production, but that Levy has been cast to play Mr. Molloy. See for yourself the post below:

While the 39-year-old actor is sure to be a nice addition to the cast, it’s honestly a little odd not to see him in his David Rose suit, but he still looks good. At the moment, there are no specific details on how Mr. Molloy will be involved in the proceedings, but depending on who was chosen to play him, he is sure he will have a major presence at Moordale High School. I wonder if the professor will have at least some of David’s quirks. But for the actor’s sake, let’s hope Molloy doesn’t have as famous slogans as those of Anse de Schitt.

In 2021, Dan Levy signed a creative partnership deal with Netflix that went into effect last month. The actor, writer, and director were certainly perfect for the streaming platform, and that’s a pretty fit match. Even now, his beloved series of him, Anse de SchittIt is still extremely popular and certainly one of the best programs to binge on Netflix.

At this point, fans are likely eager for more episodes of Laurie Nunn’s acclaimed adult series, especially after the cliffhanger featured in Sex educationSeason 3 finale. The episode was filled with notable developments, including the breakup of Eric and Adam and the sale of Moordale. And let’s not forget that the season also ended with Maeve traveling to the United States. So there are definitely a lot of things to fix.

It’s exciting to think the teen drama just marks the beginning of Dan Levy’s career on Netflix, and I’m excited to see what he will do with the company in the future. We hope to have more information on his new character and the stories to come soon enough.
