lAfter deleting the Batgirl and the future restructuring of HBO Maxthere are new changes in the house Discovery of Warner Bros which changes the calendar of upcoming theater shows. In fact, the distribution of two DC Comics films Aquaman and the lost kingdom e Shazam! Wrath of the Gods was moved again.

The arrival in theaters of Shazam! . the most anticipated film in recent years, that is Avatar: The Way of Water.

David F. Sandberg, director of Shazam! Fury of the Gods, he commented on the news through his Twitter account: “As much as I’m an impatient bastard who wants audiences to see it as soon as possible (the film wraps in a few weeks), this decision makes perfect sense as Avatar: The Waterway was taking all the IMAX theaters and Premium Large Format. Fury of the Gods is a big movie and should be seen on a bigger screen! And in the end, we’re still coming out three months before our original date!”

But it doesn’t stop there. Warner also decided to move from HBO Max on the big screen two movies, that is Evil Dead Riseon April 4, 2023, and The Nun 2which hits theaters on September 8, 2023. Originally slated for April 2023, the new adaptation of Salem Nights by Stephen King has been postponed to an unspecified date in the course of 2023. A date has been set for an as-yet-unspecified product, referred to as a “Warner Event Film”, for February 10, 2023, on Super Bowl weekend.

In doing so, for the last 4 months of 2022 there are only three Warner films left: Don’t Worry Darlinga film with Harry Styles and Florence Pugh that will be shown at the Venice Film Festival and then hit theaters on September 22, Black Adamon October 21, and the comedy House Party, which was originally scheduled for HBO Max but was later moved to theaters and set for December 9th. As the reporter pointed out of the Hollywood Reporter Borys Kitthis step is fully in line with the budget cuts implemented in the last weeks of David ZaslavCEO of Warner Bros. Discovery.
