Director Jessica M. For Thompson, a lover of horror films, directing Le Bal de l’enfer was a dream opportunity. The latter always wanted to make a horror film told from the female point of view.

He wanted a women’s team to rally around. Thus, the filmmaker finds the director of photography of his previous and first film, Autumn Eakin, and surrounds himself with set designer Felicity Abbott, costume designer Daniel Knox, and hair and makeup artist Nora Robertson.
