Venice: What Looks Very Beautiful in Netflix’s Trailer for Nicolas Winding Refn’s ‘Copenhagen Cowboy’

Netflix released the first trailer the copenhagen cowboy The upcoming Danish series directed by Nicolas Winding Refn (Move on, only God forgives) and Refn’s homecoming doesn’t seem to have dampened his gory and often jaw-droppingly gorgeous aesthetic.

The trailer is a series of neon-drenched images with a throbbing techno beat that, in typical Refn style, tease and even shock and offer little to explain. The series’ aesthetic will be familiar to fans of Refn from his recent film appearances. only God forgives (2013) and the neon demon (2016).

The Copenhagen Cowboy Miu as Angela Bundalovic, an enigmatic, wide-eyed woman who, after a life of slavery, decides to break free and take revenge on Copenhagen’s criminal underworld.

The Copenhagen CowboyRefn’s first project in his native Denmark in 15 years, it also stars Refn’s daughter Lola Korfixen, Zlatko Buric, Andreas Lyke Jørgensen, Jason Handil-Forsell, Li Zhang and Dragana Milutinovic. It will have its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival on September 9 and will be released worldwide on Netflix later this year.
