Dante Spinetta presents “Mesa Dulce”, his fifth studio album

He had announced it. And finally it came out. Dante Spinetta presented “Mesa Dulce”, his fifth studio album.

Until now, it was known that the former Illya Kuryaki & The Valderramas was up to something new. In fact, he had already anticipated the release of the album with the release of “El lado oscuro del corazón” and “Sudaka”, the latter with Trueno.

And it’s not just another job. “Mesa Dulce has something special. It’s going to be a party and it’s a thank you to life, sound and music. I bet to do what I felt: real music, played by incredible musicians. I want to make it intense and as real as possible. It’s my fifth solo album and I think it’s the one that represents me the most,” Dante said.

And he added, “There are two guest artists that I really like and believe in a lot. One is Trueno, who is one of my favorite rappers at the moment. He’s a really sweaty kid. rap! And Ca7riel is one of my new favorite musicians, he has a lot of talent, he is also a multi-instrumentalist, everything was sung here and he added an incredible mystique to it”.

“Mesa Dulce” was recorded and mixed at Estudio La Diosa Salvaje in Buenos Aires, with Oscar “Saga” Herrera as recording and mixing engineer along with Mariano López, legendary mixing engineer and recording technician for Luis Alberto Spinetta, Charly García and Fito Páez, among others.

While the group that accompanies Dante in the studio is the same that does it in his live performances, with Matías Méndez on bass, Pablo González on drums, Axel Introini on keyboards and Carlos Salas on percussion. He was in charge of guitars, vocals, rhythm and production.
