Britney Spears says she plans to pause social media ‘for a while’

It might be a while before fans can see new Instagram videos or Britney Spears pregnancy updates. The pop star announced that she is retiring from social media.

“I will be taking a break from social media for a while!!!” Spears wrote on Instagram on Sunday.

“I send you my love and may God bless you all,” he added.

With the news of her departure from social media, the pop star posted a goofy video of a toddler lounging next to a mini dress, dressed in a robe, sunglasses and hair curlers.

On April 11, Spears said she was expecting a child with fiance Sam Asgar.

“Obviously, I’m not going to go out so much that the popes have thrown their money at me, as they unfortunately already have,” he said at the time. She also spoke candidly about her previous experience with perinatal depression: “I have to say it’s absolutely horrible…women didn’t talk about it back then,” she wrote, saying she did yoga every day during her pregnancy.

Spears has two children, Shawn, 16, and Jaden, 15, with her ex-husband Kevin Federline. Along the way, the baby will be Asgara’s first.
