“I think that probably just happened [o beijo]”, White said in the interview. For the author, the result of Ethan’s jealousy would have more to do with the jealousy dynamic between Cameron, described in the relationship between friends throughout the season, than with anything concrete involving Harper.

“There’s a gap that hasn’t been fully filled,” reflects White. “I think that’s what’s frying Ethan.”

Also in the last episode, Ethan’s jealousy and mistrust end up leading him to share his anxiety with Daphne, who ends up advising him not to act like a victim of the situation. The two betrayed friends then head to a spot on the beach where they cannot be seen. According to White, whatever happened there was enough for Ethan to forgive the offense of his wife and friend, which he had been building in his head.
