In an exclusive interview for HBOdisplayed after the credits of the second season finale on HBO MaxMike White spoke about Harper’s betrayal (aubrey plaza) and Cameron (Theo James) to their respective partners, Ethan (Will Sharpe) and Daphne (Meghan Fahy🇧🇷
In the final episode, Harper is confronted by Ethan about her alleged cheating with his friend, Cameron. Harper eventually admits that she kissed Cameron, in response to the hooker orgy she discovered a few episodes earlier. However, during the dialogue, the character was emphatic in denying that anything else had happened between her and Cameron.

“I think that probably just happened [o beijo]”, White said in the interview. For the author, the result of Ethan’s jealousy would have more to do with the jealousy dynamic between Cameron, described in the relationship between friends throughout the season, than with anything concrete involving Harper.
“There’s a gap that hasn’t been fully filled,” reflects White. “I think that’s what’s frying Ethan.”
Also in the last episode, Ethan’s jealousy and mistrust end up leading him to share his anxiety with Daphne, who ends up advising him not to act like a victim of the situation. The two betrayed friends then head to a spot on the beach where they cannot be seen. According to White, whatever happened there was enough for Ethan to forgive the offense of his wife and friend, which he had been building in his head.
