Adam Woodyatt slashes luxury motorhome price to £200,000

EastEnders actor Adam Woodyatt has slashed the asking price of his luxury motorhome to £200,000 after struggling to find a buyer, according to reports.

The 58-year-old soap star, best known for playing Ian Beale on the long-running BBC drama, originally put the vehicle on sale last year for £214,995.

After failing to attract interest at that price, Woodyatt shaved almost £15,000 off the figure to encourage a sale, The Sun reported.

The Daily Mail has contacted Woodyatt's representative for comment.

Motorhome features and interior details

The Carthago motorhome has reportedly covered only 3,000 miles since Woodyatt purchased it. He lived in the vehicle for over a year while taking an extended hiatus from EastEnders.

According to vehicle company Bürstner, the motorhome features a range of modern conveniences, including underfloor heating, atmospheric mood lighting, and comfortable white leather sofas.

The actor, 58, first put the lavish recreational vehicle on sale last year for a whopping £214,995

The interior boasts wood and white panelling designed to keep the space feeling light and open. It also includes a full-size double bed and a state-of-the-art roof built to withstand hail.

Reason for selling and US family visits

Woodyatt previously explained in September why he decided to put the vehicle on the market, telling fans on social media that he needed more time to visit family in the United States.

In a video shared at the time, Woodyatt explained: "My daughter has had a grandson, and most of my spare time now is spent flying over to see her."

However, after it failed to attract a buyer, Adam has shaved almost £15,000 off the price in a bid to encourage the sale, according to reports

He added: "I’m not going to have any time to spend in it. It’s a little bit sad because I’ve really enjoyed my time up here."

Woodyatt shares 31-year-old daughter Jessica and 28-year-old son Samuel with his ex-wife Beverley Sharpe. The couple separated in 2019 after 22 years together.

Following the public announcement of their separation, Woodyatt moved out of the family home and into the motorhome during an extended break from EastEnders.

Touring play and origin of vehicle purchase

Woodyatt used the motorhome as a base while starring in a touring stage play during his soap sabbatical. He first revealed he purchased the vehicle in 2021 ahead of starting the tour.

Although the play had been pushed back several times before starting, Woodyatt made the most of the situation by enjoying trips in the vehicle across the UK.

Speaking to The Sun at the time, Woodyatt said: "I’ve got a motorhome ready for the tour so I won’t have to worry about staying in hotels or anything like that."

He added: "But I’ve taken advantage of it and I’m currently in a field in Devon."
