The original FX comedy series Adults has released the first official trailer for its upcoming second season, confirming that the new batch of episodes will arrive on Disney+ on September 30, 2026.
The upcoming season will once again center on Samir, Billie, Paul Baker, Issa, and Anton, five twentysomething friends who share Samir's childhood home in New York City as they attempt to figure out how to navigate the complexities of adult life.
When the series first debuted, critics and viewers frequently referred to it as a Friends for the TikTok generation. While structural parallels remain and the iconic 1990s sitcom has influenced Adults alongside many other modern comedies, the second season actively distances itself from the storylines experienced by Rachel Green, Ross Geller, and their group. Both television series take place in New York City, but the substantial generational gap between the two shows has widened significantly in the preview for the new FX comedy, which streams internationally on Disney+.
