Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria Baldwin posted a tongue-in-cheek video in which the actor asked her for another baby, teasing fans with the idea that the couple might expand their family of seven children.
In the clip, Hilaria, 42, struck a pinup pose in a bikini. "I would do anything for you," she told Alec, 68, but when he replied, "Have another baby with me," she rose from her seat in a huff and stalked off camera.
"When 'I'd do anything for you' meets reality with its terms and conditions …," Hilaria wrote in her caption, adding a crying-laughing emoji.
The Daily Mail has contacted a representative for the couple for comment.
A family of seven children
Hilaria and Alec are already parents to Carmen, 12, Rafael, 11, Leonardo, nine, Romeo, eight, Eduardo, five, Lucía, five, and Ilaria, three. All seven children have Spanish names.
Baldwin, known for his role on 30 Rock, also has a 30-year-old daughter, Ireland, from his first marriage to actress Kim Basinger. Baldwin and Basinger fought a notoriously acrimonious custody battle over Ireland after their divorce.
'Always asking me for more kids'
The video is not the first time the subject has come up publicly. Last year, while promoting their reality show The Baldwins, Hilaria told People that Alec was "always asking me for more kids."
"Don't judge me," Alec said in the same interview, insisting, "I don't really want one." Hilaria said the children were "so cute. But my body's really tired."
Mallorca summer plans
The new video comes two months after Hilaria revealed the family were spending the summer on the Spanish island of Mallorca and were considering making the trip an annual tradition. In late June, she told the Daily Mail she was "bringing my kids to go be with my family for the month of July in Mallorca."
The cookbook author explained: "This is like we're testing the waters and seeing what that would be like, of summers there rather than the Hamptons."
Hilaria, born Hillary Hayward-Thomas in Boston, has spoken Spanish since childhood and grew up travelling frequently to Mallorca, where her parents have lived since 2011. She, Alec and their seven children currently live between New York City and a Hamptons mansion that has spent recent years on and off the market at fluctuating prices.
Heritage controversy
Hilaria has been a lightning rod for controversy since December 2020, when fans noticed that although she went by Hilaria and her talent agency CAA's biography stated she was born in Mallorca, she was in fact from Boston, with the given name Hillary Hayward-Thomas.
Interviews resurfaced showing her slipping into a Spanish accent, including a televised cooking segment in which she appeared to forget the English word for cucumber. On the Cat & Nat podcast in New York in April 2020, she said, "I moved here when I was 19 to go to NYU," and when asked where from, replied, "From - my family lives in Spain. They live in Majorca."
As the scandal erupted that December, she told the New York Times that the cucumber moment was a "brain fart" caused by nerves. She also issued a public statement saying: "I was born in Boston. I spent time in Boston and in Spain. My family now lives in Spain. I moved to New York when I was 19 years old and I have lived here ever since."
In early 2021, as the controversy persisted, she posted an Instagram statement saying she was "sorry" and acknowledging she "should have been more clear," while maintaining she was raised "with two cultures, American and Spanish" and feels "a true sense of belonging to both." More recently, on The Baldwins, she has described her changing accent as an example of "code-switching."
