Ukrainian singer Alina Grosu has addressed questions about why she keeps her husband out of the public eye, saying she is not hiding him so much as choosing to protect her personal life.
Online speculation links her to Russian actor Roman Polyansky, but Grosu neither confirmed nor denied the rumours. She said she has never hidden the fact that she is married, but does not want her husband to become part of her public content.
Grosu said the decision came from experience, explaining that in the past she had been more open about her relationships, and that any argument or difficult period immediately became a topic for public debate and judgment. She added that keeping some things private also matters to her as a performer, because too much personal disclosure can distract listeners from her music when she sings about love and heartbreak.
The singer became a mother for the first time in April. She has created an Instagram account for her infant son, Mark-Gabriel.
