Alison Brie Debuts Bright Blonde Hair at Beauty Awards

Alison Brie debuted a dramatic new blonde hairstyle at the 2026 Daytime Beauty Awards in Los Angeles on September 9, stepping onto the red carpet in a silky white gown with a light, airy blonde color that marked her most dramatic hair change yet.

Brie, best known for playing Ruth Wilder on Netflix's wrestling drama GLOW, paired the new blonde shade with her signature bangs. She joked about the switch on her Instagram Story, writing, "They *do* have more fun?!"

Brie is a natural brunette, but this was not her first time going lighter. She first dyed her hair blonde in 2019 at the suggestion of her husband, actor Dave Franco, for his horror film The Rental, in which she starred opposite Dan Stevens and Sheila Vand. The Rental marked Franco's directorial debut. At the time, Brie shared a selfie of her wavy blonde bob on Instagram with the caption, "When your husband asks you to 'go blonde' for a role...you say yes."

Presenting an Award to Her Esthetician

Brie's new look was created by hairstylist Ricky Fraser. At the Daytime Beauty Awards, an annual ceremony recognizing achievements in the beauty industry, she also took the stage to present the award for Outstanding Achievement in Aesthetics to her longtime esthetician, Biba de Sousa. The ceremony also featured Modern Family alum Sofía Vergara, Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale and Beverly Hills, 90210 actor Brian Austin Green.

"Biba changed my life. I used to be riddled with anxiety about my skin. Biba went through every product I was using and told me what to keep, what to toss," Brie said onstage. "And then she developed her own line of the best skincare products."

The Community alum added, "I'm forever indebted to her."

Brie on Turning 40 and Taking Care of Her Skin

Brie's focus on skincare follows years of learning how to take care of herself, something she reflected on while marking her 40th birthday in 2023. "I've been feeling really good and not freaking out about that age," she told Vogue at the time. "There's a stigma with it that some people kind of get nervous about, and for me, I feel just as youthful as I felt."

She said she actually feels better now than she did in her 20s. "I feel much better than I felt in my 20s, honestly, because I was eating like s--t and really not taking care of my skin," Brie said. She added that she used her 30s to "hone all of that stuff" and has "never felt better."
