Ballerina Anastasia Volochkova will not file a lawsuit after missing a flight to the Maldives, Russian news outlet Fifth Channel reported. The former Bolshoi Theatre star told journalists that she considers legal proceedings over the incident to be beneath her.

Volochkova said she did not consider it necessary to sink to such a low level from the height of her status as a great, outstanding Russian ballerina.
Missed Boarding Announcement
Explaining her side of the story, Volochkova said she was waiting near the boarding area at the airport, but no announcement was made regarding the end of registration. She added that she only learned she had missed the flight after speaking with staff at the counter.
Airline representatives subsequently offered to sell her tickets for another plane. Volochkova reportedly paid approximately 300,000 rubles for the new tickets.
Earlier reports indicated that the ballerina caused a scandal at the airport after missing her original flight, complaining of mistreatment and calling the incident a disgrace.
