Ukrainian singer Anna Trincher has faced fierce backlash after her concert was postponed hours before showtime, sparking a physical fight among fans in the foyer.
The performance was scheduled to take place on October 30 at the Palace of Youth and Students of Kryvyi Rih National University. City authorities banned mass events just hours before the doors opened because of an official day of mourning across Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
Many attendees did not receive word of the postponement in advance and arrived at the venue expecting the show to go ahead. When ticket holders learned at the site that the concert would not take place, a confrontation broke out in the lobby that quickly escalated into a fight, prompting staff to call police to the scene.
Dispute over ticket refunds
Anger mounted among fans who could not attend the rescheduled date and lost up to 3,000 hryvnias on tickets. Trincher addressed the incident from the stage the following day and later shared footage on Instagram, smiling as she told the audience that she had been shocked by people fighting over entry to a show that could not legally proceed.
Responding to critics online, the performer stated that ticket buyers agree to standard terms covering wartime emergencies. She explained that mass events are routinely postponed under force majeure rules when red air raid alerts remain active or when authorities declare an official day of mourning. Trincher added that the show took place in full the following day.
