Streaming service Apple TV has released the first teaser trailer for 12 12 12, a new crime heist series starring Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan. The drama centers on a major robbery in Zurich, Switzerland, and the European manhunt that follows.
The narrative structure of the series follows three separate stages of the heist: 12 months of planning leading up to the crime, 12 hours during the robbery itself, and 12 days immediately after. Across all three periods, FBI agents track the organizer of the crime across Europe.
Mackie is best known for playing Sam Wilson, who operates as Falcon and later Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe media franchise. Dornan gained global recognition starring in the 50 Shades of Grey film franchise. The project marks a reunion for the two leads, who previously co-starred in the 2019 science-fiction horror movie Synchronic.
Cast and production team
The ensemble cast also features Jack Kesy, whose screen credits include Deadpool 2, The Killer, Hellboy: The Crooked Man, and the television series The Strain and Task. Kali Reis appears following roles in Mercy, Resident Evil, and True Detective: Night Country. The cast is rounded out by Ólafur Darri Ólafsson of Severance, Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga, and Your Friends and Neighbors, alongside Titane star Agathe Rousselle.
Director Kari Skogland directed at least one episode of the series, handling the pilot episode. Skogland has an extensive television background, having previously directed episodes for major productions such as The Handmaid's Tale, The Walking Dead, House of Cards, The Americans, The Killing, The Punisher, and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
Release schedule
The eight-episode first season of 12 12 12 is scheduled to premiere on Apple TV on November 13, 2026. The platform will release the first two episodes simultaneously on launch day. The remaining episodes will air weekly, leading up to the season finale on December 25.
